Rosemount Division Standardizes on Applimation InformiaT for
Archiving Oracle ERP and Custom Applications

NEW YORK, June 23 -- Applimation, Inc., the leading provider of application and information lifecycle management solutions, announced today that the Rosemount Division of Emerson Electric Company, has successfully implemented Applimation InformiaT to manage the impact of enterprise data growth within Oracle E-Business Applications and related environments. With this implementation of Informia ArchiveT in the Rosemount Division, Emerson has now deployed the entire portfolio of Applimation Lifecycle Management solutions within their global organization.

The Rosemount Division of Emerson implemented the full suite of Oracle Applications in 1997 and is planning an upgrade to the latest release of the Oracle E-Business Suite. With in-house expertise, Rosemount had previously developed and deployed a custom solution to archive within their standard Oracle and third party bolt-on environment. The challenge facing Rosemount in the selection of a long term, packaged solution was three-fold. First, Rosemount required a solution that provided robust archiving functionality for standard modules and bolt-on enhancements within the Oracle E-Business Suite. Second, product-level certification by Oracle Corporation was essential for both versions 10.7 and 11i of the Oracle E-Business Suite -- since Rosemount is currently running release 10.7 and is planning their upgrade to the 11i release in the next few months. And third, the solution had to be streamlined and "user friendly" to enable business users to work with and monitor the archiving solution.

"Our team had very specific requirements and objectives. In addition to mirroring functionality developed in-house, we were looking for a solution that would minimize reliance on development resources for archiving," explained John West, Director of Operations at Rosemount.
