Bob Markese - Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Bob Markese is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the company, and for guiding its overall operations toward aggressive growth and increased market share. Mr. Markese brings more than 25 years of software sales, marketing, and operations experience to his role, having held leadership positions at several global enterprise software firms. Most notably, during his tenure as President of Click Commerce, (NASDAQ: CKCM), a leading provider of sell side B2B e-business applications, Mr. Markese helped bring the company to a position of market leadership with revenues of over $36 million. Under his management, Click Commerce became one of the top ten performing technology IPO's of 2000.

John DeBoer - Chief Financial Officer

John DeBoer brings over 15 years of experience as a senior financial executive with diversified experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, strategic planning, and financing. Mr. DeBoer comes from Allied Domecq, an $8B international conglomerate where he was a Vice President. Prior, he spent ten years with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he worked on multi-national and international client engagements.

Ravi Akella - CTO & Vice President, Product Development

Ravi Akella is responsible for engineering and technology of the Applimation products. Ravi brings over 20 years of software development experience in the software and IS industries. Ravi has built product development organizations and capabilities at CMC, Digital, Oracle, Neon, and Space Telescope Science Institute. He has held several technology and management positions at these companies. He has architected and driven development of numerous products that have been very successful in the market place. Ravi holds a MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University.

Steve Jensen - Vice President, Sales

Steve Jensen has spent more than two decades in software technology sales. Most recently, Mr. Jensen ran eastern North American sales for CommerceOne in the B2B market space. Mr. Jensen has also held management positions with Platinum Technology, Computer Associates and SyncSort, Inc.

Joshua Alpern - Vice President, Sales Engineering

Joshua Alpern has been with Applimation for more than seven years working in virtually every department of the company, from product development to professional services. He has worked internationally in the IT industry for more than ten years, living abroad in Asia and the Middle East for five years before joining Applimation. He has a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Boston University.

Pat Plante - Vice President, Services & Support

Pat Plante is responsible for implementation, training, and support of the Informia product suite. Pat brings 25 years of software development experience in the software and IT industries. Pat built professional services and product development organizations and capabilities at BEZ Systems and Click Commerce. At both software start-ups, Pat was responsible for creating the methodologies and hiring the talent to deliver highly referenceable customers. Pat also held management positions at SeaLand Service, Inc and Spiegel, Inc where she led large scale application development initiatives on a global basis. Pat holds a BS in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Suzanne Swanson - Senior Vice President, Business Development, Product Management & Marketing

Suzanne Swanson leads Applimation’s business development, product management and marketing teams.  Ms. Swanson brings over 18 years of experience in planning and executing strategic business opportunities for leading enterprise software companies. Prior to joining Applimation, she was Executive Vice President for Gamma Enterprise Technologies, a leading developer of enterprise application data management software solutions for SAP environments.  Prior to Gamma, she was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Patchlink and before that was the Senior Director of global OEM sales at Symantec. Ms. Swanson has also held executive positions in business development and sales at SecurityFocus and Computer Associates. 

Ruta Hunter - Vice President, Marketing

Ruta Hunter has over 15 years experience in technology marketing. Most recently, she lead the marketing efforts for Catalyst International, a supply chain execution software and SAP services company. Ruta holds a BA in Marketing from Northern Illinios University and an MBA in Marketing Management from DePaul University.

Xavier Coemelck - Vice President, Sales - EMEA

Xavier Coemelck has over 15 years of pre-sales, sales and sales management experience in EMEA, where he successfully sold to major European Oracle accounts. He was a founder and VP of Sales/Operations for Andiamo until March 2003 when he began to represent Applimation in EMEA. Xavier brings to Applimation a solid technical background and an aggressive sales attitude, both focused on making customers happy and sales teams successful.

Lance Westbrook - Vice President, Business Development

Lance Westbrook is responsible for Applimation's third-party Alliance, Channels and Consulting relationships. Lance has more than 20 years of Senior-level Sales Management, Business Development and Alliances experience with major software and storage vendors including Sybase and Avnet. Lance also held management positions with several early-stage companies, including SumTotal Systems and Network-1, where he participated in successful public offerings.
